Learn how to set up your account on Dropspot and start your NFT adventure!

1. Wallet

For a user to create, sell, buy and redeem NFT's, it is essential to have a cryptocurrency wallet to facilitate these transactions and store your NFT's. Compatible crypto wallets, store your digital currency and allow you to interact with the Cardano blockchain, enabling you to process transactions and monitor your balance.

Once you install your crypto wallet, a unique wallet address will be generated. This wallet address will allow you to connect to Dropspot and you will use this address to complete transactions.

2. Digital Currency (ADA)

Digital currency, ADA, is required to purchase and sell NFT's on Dropspot. You can obtain ADA from popular crypto-exchanges such as Crypto.com and Coinspot.

Note: ADA is not required when redeeming your already purchased NFTs.

Once you have installed your wallet and obtained ADA, you can connect your wallet to Dropspot, create an account, and begin your NFT adventure!

Note: As a Creator, you don't need ADA to create, mint and list your collection, as Dropspot will cover the blockchain minting fees free of cost.

3. Dropspot Account

To connect your wallet to Dropspot and create an account, follow these simple steps below:

  1. Click on 'Connect Wallet':

  2. Connect and sign in with your compatible wallet.

  3. Once you have successfully signed in, you can start your NFT adventure! 😄

    You can also personalise your profile further by including a link to your website and adding credibility by linking to your socials. To personalise your profile, click on your account in the top right hand corner of the screen and select Profile.

    Important Note:

    Creators: If you are a Creator and wish to sell NFT's on Dropspot, select the 'Creator Launchpad' icon and you will be directed to our Creator onboard process. Refer to the article How do I setup my Creator account and verify my profile? for further details.

    Collectors: As a Collector, you will need to ensure Collateral is set, to ensure successful Smart Contract execution when purchasing an NFT. For further details, refer to the article What is collateral, and how do I set it?
